MGA's Jeff Julin Receives Lifetime Achievement Award
by MGA 639 days ago

Last night, MGA's president Jeff Julin was honored by the Colorado Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) with its Swede Johnson Lifetime Achievement Award.

In accepting the award, Julin spoke from the heart and earned a standing ovation from the crowd of over 200.

"Every day, what we do makes a difference in commerce, in business, and in our community. Regardless of the program or event, it all comes down to the people," he said. He advised all PR professionals to continue asking themselves, "Did we make a difference in our community?"

The award recognizes Julin's long commitment to the local PRSA chapter, his 10+ years serving on the national board - including as chair and CEO in 2008 - as well as his passion about the profession.

From all of us at MGA, thank you to PRSA Colorado for honoring Jeff, who now becomes MGA's second Lifetime Achievement Award winner! (Our chairman, Mike Gaughan, was honored in 2003.)

It’s been quite the hectic few weeks at MGA – a new office that is half the size of our old one, and the purging of items accumulated over nearly 25 years in one spot. It's been a bittersweet experience for many here. Reflecting that, below are some thoughts offered up by MGA employees on moving and change.

Making Sense of the Census

Posted by MGA under Around Colorado

The U.S. Census Bureau is just starting to release the results of last year’s census. While one of the main purposes of collecting such data every 10 years is to redraw district lines for the U.S. House of Representatives, it’s also a treasure trove of information for public relations professionals. Figuring out how to find the information you need, however, can be a challenge.
