We have enjoyed sharing our favorite holiday memories with you on our holiday countdown and hope you have enjoyed reminiscing as you followed along!

As 2009 comes to a close, we are gearing up for 2010 and thought we would share some of our resolutions with you. Please feel free to share your New Year’s resolutions with us in our comments section.

Cricket Smith, Executive Vice President at MGA Communications, shares one of her holiday traditions from when she was younger; her mother would make special outfits every year for Cricket and her brother.

Growing up outside a small town in rural British Columbia, Canada, my family was, well, in the boonies. We didn’t have electricity (I didn’t see color television until we moved to Denver when I was seven). My brother and I each had our own tree house and tire swing, we had a large garden and we had lots of chickens. My mom cooked on our wood-burning stove that heated our tiny home (built by hand by my parents). She pickled cucumbers, and canned tomatoes, peaches, pears, dilly beans, and more. As my dad once told me, she made “food for the belly, food for the heart” and she “could make something out of nothing and make it taste great.”

Kip Cheroutes, Vice President of Public Affairs at MGA Communications, shares one of his childhood, holiday memories. Kip and his mother had a special holiday tradition of going to breakfast on Christmas morning. Kip explains his favorite treat and one year a special surprise!

Doug Magee, Vice President of Research at MGA Communications, shares his holiday memory of when he was just eight years old. He explains his youthful anticipation and waiting hours until his family woke up to join him in holiday celebration.

We hope that this area on our new Web site will become a place to share insights and information about public relations, marketing and research and what that means for your business moving forward.
